Meet The Face Behind St. Marys Dentistry

I’m Dr. Michael Nixon, the proud owner of St. Marys Dentistry.

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

Ever since I started Dental School, I’ve wanted to be my own boss. After gaining a few years of experience, I started my business by purchasing an existing dental practice in St. Marys, Ontario, in 2011.

Flying Solo

When I first took over from a previous dentist, the practice was in a basement walkout with four operatories and four staff. I have grown the clinic and increased the roster to Ten operatories, two dentists, and eleven staff.

The growth has enabled my practice to integrate new technologies to make appointments more comfortable for patients with efficient digital record keeping. I’ve also managed to keep pace with the evolution of infection prevention control which includes upgrading radiographs to digital. Additionally, I’ve added more services, like implants and orthodontics.

I enjoy it when patients are happy with the outcomes of their treatments, especially cosmetic procedures like bridges, crowns, veneers, implants, dentures, and orthodontics.

Honesty and Sincere Approach

I enjoy working with my hands, and I’m dedicated to my craft, which I’ve refined over fourteen years. My philosophy has always been to provide honest opinions, quality treatments, and to be punctual.

I’m also sincere in my approach and love helping people feel confident about their smiles. Therefore, I strive to do the best work possible for all my patients and treat them as if they were my family members.

Additionally, I attribute my success to my dedicated staff, supportive wife, and family. As a result, my most satisfying moment in business was watching my children put their handprints on the walkway when my building was under construction.

Golf and Motorcycles

When I’m not examining patients’ teeth, my hobbies include playing guitar in a band, fitness, reading fiction, golfing, riding, and restoring old motorcycles.

I also support two charities. Compassion empowers Children In 3rd World Countries, while International Justice Mission rescues enslaved people and human trafficked individuals.

I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
